From the twinkling eyes to the tiny toes each child participating in the “ Healthy Baby” contest was like a piece of heaven sent down to Earth.
The toddlers between the age of 2.5 years and 4 trooped into the school on 26.8.2023 and were given a rollicking welcome as they passed through the hula hoops and mini hurdles.
Dr. Mrs.Thenmozhi Rajan , Pediatrician of Chengalpattu Govt hospital addressed the young parents about parenting and health concerns. The session proved very valuable especially to many first time parents as their queries were answered patiently and fears were allayed. The height and weight of the babies were checked and recorded providing the impetus for good health.
Another enriching session by a nutrition & dietetics specialist Mrs. Revathy was an eye opener to everyone . She shared valuable insights about healthy food & lifestyle which turned out beneficial for the family as a whole.
The kids were crowned with many titles such as “ Most Cherubic Smile”, “ Crowning Glory” based on the photographs of their cherished ones sent by parents and also on the overall involvement of the child in the event.
Fun & Frolic was at its best with each and every kid enjoying the day to the fullest.
With freedom in the minds, faith in the hearts & pride in the souls, the 77th Independence Day was celebrated with pomp & gaiety. The school was decked up with tricolor flags, balloons & streamers & the Chief Guest for the day was Shri. D . Ramesh DSP , Avadi. The welcome dance followed by a series special events – a dress up parade of freedom fighters by the tiny tots, patriotic songs & speeches in various languages, sirappu patti mandram to name a few filled the air with pride & patriotism.
There was an impressive yoga performance & pyramid formation by the students. Special Divya Dhristy activities based on whole brain development was well applauded by the chief guest.
Making the world of children a better place with their unconditional love , wisdom, magical moments, all in all being their special friends – grandparents are indeed amazing. The school provided an opportunity for the students to celebrate a special day with their beloved thathas & paatis – Grandparents Day.
Hospitality was at its best as the Grandparents & Grandchildren walked in hand in hand inside the campus. Special photobooths were set up and the grandparents clicked photos with the grandchildren which forged great memories to be treasured forever. The grandparents enjoyed walking the ramp to the retro music with the cheering of their grandchildren & the audience.
The grandparents became emotional & turned speechless at the special event - the “Paada Poojai “ performed by the students to show their affection & gratitude and in turn receive the blessings of the elders. They were elated at the culture imbibed by our students filling their hearts with eternal bliss.
An eye captivating Golu – display of idols was kept in the school with the students also bringing in a myriad of dolls. To invoke the blessings of the almighty, pooja was performed daily with offerings of varieties of prasadams.
The tenth day of Dussehra – Vijaya Dasami is an auspicious day that brings in the message that being in reverence and gratitude leads to success and victory. The school reverberated with divinity and sacredness as a special pooja was organized for the first time learners – Vidya Arambam. After Prayers to Lord Ganesha at the school temple & Goddess Durga, to start the journey of learning , the toddlers wrote the alphabets on a plate of rice with parents holding their tiny hands. This marked the auspicious beginning of their academic journey.
School Bags & Books were distributed to the new joiners wishing them success in all their endeavors.
Festivals bring in a spirit of harmony & cohesiveness and echoing this spirit Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated in the school with loads of zest and zeal. Students were asked to bring idols of Lord Ganesha – the god pf prosperity & wisdom , who bestows happiness & peace.
A stunning display of all the Ganesha idols was kept in the school lawns with delicious offerings of modaks and sundal. Students sang devotional songs and a skit in English was performed about the story related to the festival. The skit was a neat presentation about how young Ganesha acquired his trunk and was appreciated by one and all. The whole atmosphere was charged with festivity with positive vibes all around.
Krishna Jayanthi , marking the birth of Lord Krishna was celebrated with joy & enthusiasm. Devotional songs & bhajans were sung by staff & students bringing in a divine atmosphere to the celebrations. The vibrant colours, fragrant flowers & beautiful rangolis to welcome Lord Krishna transformed the entire school.
The primary students dressed up as Lord Krishna, Radha & Gopikas swung on the specially decorated jhoolas. The highlight of the celebrations was the “Uri Adi” wherein the participants wanted to break the pot and emerge victorious. The school was filled joy & laughter as everyone tried their hand at uri adi. Sweets & Snacks were distributed to the children and the festive celebrations left an inedible mark in everyone’s mind, body &soul .
